How did you decide on your major?
I decided to major in the field of psychology before I even graduated from high school. I knew that I have always wanted to help people with their problems and majoring in psychology will give me the opportunity to do this. I have also decided to tackle a second major of biology. This decision came to me when I took a class for my required science liberal education credits and I just loved it!!! I like learning about how a human’s biological body works.
With the decision to major in two unrelated fields I get the broad spectrum of how a human mind works cognitively and biologically and you cannot go wrong with that.
What has been the best experience of college for you?
My best experience in college has been meeting the people that I have met. I have met so many different and unique individuals that this alone has made my experience at UMD worth every penny... And we all know that UMD likes to take a lot of pennies from us!
Any words of wisdom for students deciding on a career?
My words of wisdom to students who are trying to find a career is DON'T WORRY!!! You will find a job and in a year if you do not like it search for a different one. There are so many resources and different opportunities that arise when you are in the work force that the opportunities are endless!!!
