The data for this report were collected through internet and e-mail surveys and follow-up telephone calls. Staff from the office of Career Services surveyed alumni who received undergraduate degrees from UMD between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008. This report is based on responses from 1387 graduates (82% of the reported 1691 undergraduate students granted degrees during the time frame).
Of the 1387 respondents, 1245 (90%) reported “employed” or “continuing education,”
Of the 1048 employed, 1045 (99.7%) responded to a question about the relevance of their jobs to their majors, with 830 (79%) reporting employment “related” or “somewhat related” to major,
Of the 1048 employed, 1030 indicated a location and, of those, 849 (82%) reported accepting employment in Minnesota.
Of the 1387 respondents, 121 (9%) reported they were still seeking employment.
