HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CLASS OF 2003 - 2004
The data for this report were collected through mail and e-mail surveys and follow-up telephone calls and is accurate as of January 2005. The office of Career Services surveyed alumni who received undergraduate degrees from UMD between July 1, 2003 and June 30, 2004. This report is based on responses from 1184 graduates (79% of the reported 1503 undergraduate students granted degrees during the designated time frame).
Of the 1184 respondents, 1040 (88%) reported "employed" or "continuing education,"
- 867 (73%) reported "employed,"
- 173 (15%) reported "continuing education."
Of the 867 employed, 862 (99%) responded to a question about the relevance of their jobs to their majors, with 670 (78%) reporting employment "related" or "somewhat related" to major,
- 469 (54%) reported employment "related" to major,
- 201 (23%) reported employment "somewhat related" to major.
Of the 867 employed, 695 (80%) reported accepting employment in Minnesota.
Of the 1184 respondents, 124 (10%) reported that they were still seeking employment.
